Avant Garde Christian School was established in the year 2010 in consonance with the Seventh Day Adventist Church principles of providing a Christ centered curriculum that promote the mental, spiritual, physical and social development of it’s students. It is the belief of the school that effective learning can best be accomplished through the combined efforts of the home, the church and the school.

Financial Information

Fees are paid in given percentage instalments. This is done in August, November and final instalment comes in March. Parents might however choose to pay at once before resumption of School. This qualifies for generous rebate. Parents with more than one Child in school also qualifies for rebate too.

SCHOOL REGULATION

To obtain maximum benefit of the School’s academic system, parents must be willing to fully participate in the Child academic growth by supervising homeworks, monitoring classworks etc. This partnering is essential for excellence.
Parents would be responsible for damage done to school property by their Wards. Parents would be surcharged amount payable to remedy such damages.
Students are expected to be in school between 7:45am and 8am. School gate closes at 8am. Preschoolers close at 12noon, while regular school closes at 3pm. At the close of day, the school’s gate also closes between 2:45pm to 3pm. ALL CATEGORY OF STUDENTS CLOSE BY 1PM ON FRIDAYS. Parent are granted 30 minutes grace to pick their wards (3:00 pm to 3:30pm or 1pm to 1:30pm). The School bear no responsibility for the Students outside these hours.
Parents would be required to inform the School if a child would be coming late to school or be absent.
Parents are expected to keep their Wards at home if he/she shows symptoms of communicable diseases such as Coughing, Common cold, Mumps, elevated temperature etc. Parents would be ask to take the child home, if the symptoms develops in school.
The school has a standard First Aid Kit for minor medical issues. It however would not be responsible for administering drugs, prescribed or not, to students. Students requiring such level of medical attention would be required to stay home until recovery. Parents are therefore not allowed to instruct teachers to administer drugs to Students, prescribed or not.
Parent may wish to provide snacks for their children. The school discourages sugary bottled or canned beverage of low nutritional value. The school strongly encourages wholesome fruit-in-season.
Stealing, cheating, fighting, use of vulgar words or all forms of dishonesty by student would attract appropriate sanctions from the school authority.
Students at all levels are not allowed to bring toys, cash of any denomination, mobile phones, objectionable literature or any harmful objects to school.
Students are not allowed to write or carve on desk, tables, walls, books or any other school property. Parent would be surcharged for these damages.
On your child’s birthday, the Child would be prayed for at the school’s Chapel. It is optional to present Cake(s) or Party Packs. In the event that Cake(s) or Party Packs are brought to be distributed, they MUST be prayed for at Chapel before distribution. To reduce disruption of academic activities, if the birthday celebration would involve video taping etc, it would be held on Fridays.
Entertainment and other social activities such as Dance, Drama, Singing etc would be thoroughly in line with acceptable Bible based christian norms as propagated by the School.
Cases of Student who intends to transfer to another school would only be handled if there are no outstanding school fees. The transfer Form submitted by the Parents would be filled accurately showing the TRUE Class the child left Avant Garde Christian School.
Report cards would not be given by proxy. Parent must come in-person to collect their Ward’s Report Card online or hard copy.
